Questions about processing lines for prunes
Which sizing line fits if my prunes already arrive clean?
If you already have your own pre-cleaning, the CA lines (CA 1000 7T, CA-E 1000 and CA 1200) handle only the sizing stage with three modules. If you need cleaning on the same line, the CD 1200, the CD 1500 and the CE and CE-E families add a bin tipper, cleaning screen and vacuum aspirator. If you also want visual inspection before sizing, the CF family adds an inspection conveyor.
What capacities do Albion's prune lines offer?
Sizing lines range from 700–800 kg/h (CA 1000 7T and CA-E 1000) to 3,500–3,800 kg/h (CE 1800 and CE-E 1800). The integral pitting lines process 1,100 kg/h (CD 4), 1,600 kg/h (CD 6) and 2,200 kg/h (CD 8).
Do I need a sizing line or a pitting line?
It depends on the product you sell. For prunes graded by size, a sizing line delivers 7 to 15 sizes depending on the model. For pitted prunes, the integral CD 4, CD 6 or CD 8 line washes, conditions, pits, brightens and weighs the fruit. If you need both processes, each line is sized to its own volume.
Can I add a Visys optical sorter to my pitting line?
Yes. Visys (Turkey) is a brand Albion represents and distributes in Argentina; Albion does not manufacture it. On prunes it works after pitting and uses X-ray to identify residual pit fragments inside the flesh, a defect human inspection cannot reliably catch at industrial speed.
