FAQ

Questions about processing lines for carrots

Which carrot line is right for me?

It depends on what you already have in your plant. If you're starting from scratch, the ZC 8000 washes, sizes and packs carrots in a continuous flow. If you already wash and pack but size by hand, the ZCR is the roller sizer that joins your line as a standalone unit.

How many carrots does the ZC 8000 process?

The ZC 8000 runs at 6,000–8,000 kg/h, a capacity designed for large packers and cooperatives. For the ZCR sizer, capacity is defined by how it integrates with your line.

How does the line wash and size carrots?

A screen removes dry soil and fragments, and a rotary washer with water spray removes the soil adhered to the root. After out-of-size carrots and roots with serious defects are discarded, the sizer separates them by size according to your commercial matrix. Product-contact surfaces are AISI 304 stainless steel.

Can I pack in nets or by weight?

Yes. The ZC 8000 outlet adapts to bag, net, tray, or case. To automate that step, Albion distributes in Argentina the net-packaging machines of C-Pack (Germany) and the multi-head weighers of Newtec (Denmark), which are not Albion-made.

How do I request a quote?

Write to us from the contact page with the volume you process, the equipment you have today, and how you pack the product. With that, we put together a proposal for your plant. If you want to finance through Banco Nación credit lines in Argentina, you handle the application and Albion issues the documentation.
