FAQ

Questions about processing lines for dried tomatoes

Should I fill cases or trays?

It depends on how you dry your tomatoes. If you dry in tunnels or yards, the TO C 2800 ends in case filling. If you have industrial oven drying, the TO B 2800 fills trays and adds a screen that drains the product before it goes into the oven.

How many kilograms per hour do these lines process?

Both configurations, the TO C 2800 and the TO B 2800, process 2,500–2,800 kg/h. Capacity doesn't change between them; the output format does.

What equipment comes with the line?

Water-flume receiver with elevator, rotary drum washer, inspection conveyor, three-way tomato cutter, metabisulfite application tank with elevator and roller table with filler. The TO B 2800 adds a screen before tray filling. Everything that touches the product is AISI 304 stainless steel.

Can you adapt the line to my plant?

Albion designs and manufactures custom solutions. You choose the configuration based on your drying system and, if needed, add equipment from our catalog, such as elevators or inspection conveyors, which are also sold as standalone units. Tell us about your plant and we'll work it out in the quote.

How do I request a quote?

Use the Request a Quote button on the line you're interested in, or write to us from the contact page. Tell us your volume per season, your drying system and the space available at your plant. If you finance through Banco Nación credit lines, Albion issues the documentation you need.
