FAQ

Questions about processing lines for potatoes

What does Albion's potato line do?

The PC 4000 Line takes fresh potatoes from bin to weighed bag: it receives them in bulk, brushes, inspects, and sizes them, and bags them with weight control. It's 8 machines integrated in continuous flow, designed for retail potatoes in bags, nets, or trays.

How many kilos per hour does it process?

The PC 4000 runs at 4,000 kg/h in a single continuous pass. That capacity is designed for regional packers and mid-size cooperatives.

How does it clean and grade the potatoes?

The brusher removes adhered soil with adjustable-pressure brushes, compatible with sensitive varieties such as Spunta, Kennebec, or Innovator. Then, on the inspection conveyor, green, split, or damaged potatoes are discarded, and the sizer splits the flow into 3 size grades plus 1 reject fraction.

Can I pack in nets or weigh with a multi-head weigher?

Yes. In Argentina, Albion represents C-Pack (Germany), with net-packaging machines, and Newtec (Denmark), with multi-head weighers for high-speed weight-based bagging. They are not Albion-made equipment: Albion distributes them, and the PC 4000 is integrable with downstream packaging systems.

How do I request a quote?

You can request a quote from the PC 4000 line page, or write to us from the contact page. Tell us your volume, the varieties you handle, and the packaging format you need, so we can send you an accurate quote.
