Newtec is a Danish family-owned company founded in 1976 by Inge and Gunnar Petersen and headquartered in Odense, Denmark. It designs and builds weighing, packaging and optical sorting machinery in Denmark, mainly for the fruit and vegetable industry, and is represented in over 50 countries.
Its range includes multihead weighers for potatoes, carrots, onions, citrus, tomatoes, apples and pears, as well as dried fruit and nuts; packaging machines for punnets, clamshells, cups, buckets and wicketed bags; Celox optical sorters that grade potatoes and carrots by size, shape and quality in a single pass; and in-line checkweighers, with or without visual inspection. Newtec also combines these machines into weighing and packing solutions designed around each product.
Albion represents and distributes Newtec in Argentina; it does not manufacture these machines. What we sell most in the country are its multihead weighers, which make up weight-based portions at high speed with minimal product giveaway and fit into packing plants for carrots, potatoes and onions. Albion provides installation, technical support and after-sales service across the region.
