Carrots Ready for the Supermarket: Washed, Sized, and Packed in a Single Pass at 8,000 kg/h

Fresh carrots for retail or export need three perfectly integrated stages: washing, size classification, and packing. Our ZC 8000 Line completes the entire journey in a continuous 6,000-to-8,000 kg/h flow — capacity designed for large packers and cooperatives.

11 integrated machines, from bin to final pack:

  • Receiving and Pre-cleaning Screen: separates dry soil and fragments before washing, reducing the dirt load entering the water.
  • Rotary Washer: drum with water spray that removes soil adhered to the root.
  • Roller Discard Unit: rollers that drop out-of-size carrots and broken pieces through the gaps.
  • Inspection Conveyor: operators discard roots with serious defects before investing resources in sizing.
  • Lower Discard Conveyor: collects everything separated by the discard unit and the inspection stage and takes it off the line.
  • Bagging Conveyor for Second Sorting: final commercial sorting station, with bagging on the same conveyor.
  • Accumulation Disc: rotary buffer that absorbs flow peaks and keeps the sizing rate steady.
  • Elevator: transfers the accumulated flow up to the sizer inlet.
  • Sizer: separates carrots by size according to the defined commercial matrix.
  • Distribution Conveyor: routes each grade to its packing station.
  • Final Bagging Conveyor: output to the final pack — bag, net, tray, or case.

Benefits:

  • High capacity: 6,000–8,000 kg/h for large packers and cooperatives.
  • Sanitary design: product-contact surfaces in AISI 304 stainless steel.
  • Packaging flexibility: outlet adapts to final packaging — bag, net, tray, or case.
