The TO C 2800 is the base line of the TO family: takes fresh tomato from the field, washes it, cuts it into three pieces, and delivers it treated with metabisulfite and loaded into trays ready for the drying system. Simplified version of the TO B 2800 (no intermediate screen), ideal for plants that don't require additional drainage before filling.
6 integrated machines, step by step:
- Water-Flume Receiver with Elevator: receives the tomato discharge directly into water — the standard format for fresh tomato that reduces mechanical impact and preserves fruit integrity. The elevator doses the flow toward washing.
- Rotary Drum Washer: rotating drum with water curtain that cleans soil and field residue.
- Inspection Conveyor: operators remove defective, under-ripe, or over-ripe tomatoes before cutting.
- Three-Way Tomato Cutter: parallel blades cutting each tomato into three longitudinal pieces — the optimal format for fast, uniform dehydration.
- Metabisulfite Application Tank with Elevator: the cut tomato is submerged in metabisulfite preservative solution (authorized for drying), ensuring color and shelf life; the integrated elevator extracts and drains it.
- Roller Table with Tray Filler: roller conveyor with dosing system that loads each tray with the right amount of product, ready to enter the drying system.
Construction and sanitary philosophy:
All-stainless-steel AISI 304 construction on all product contact — fully resistant to tomato acid attack and continuous metabisulfite use. Inspection and transport belts in white sanitary polypropylene. Drives with oil-bath gearmotors and fully shielded three-phase motors.
