The Industrial Solution to Transform Clusters into Clean, Sized Product

The industrial solution to transform clusters into a clean, sized product.

Initial raisin processing is the most critical step in defining final product quality. Our Complete Destemming and Sorting Line Model PUA 2000 D is a robust, efficient system designed to receive the harvest in clusters and deliver a clean, loose, impurity-free, size-graded raisin — ready for the next stage of your process.

An integral process for superior performance:

  • Reception and decompacting: the line starts with a Hydraulic Bin Tipper and an Inclined Dosing Feeder Belt with metering rake and damper that regulates the flow. At this stage, an integrated Cluster Decompacter begins breaking up compact clusters to enable effective downstream separation.
  • Intensive primary cleaning: the product enters a Two-Level Vibrating Screen that performs initial separation of loose raisins — the upper level with special raisin-format mesh, the lower with a perforated sector for pedicels. Simultaneously, a powerful Vacuum Aspirator (with automatic waste discharge via motorized rotary valve) extracts a high percentage of stems, leaves, and other light residues.
  • High-efficiency conical destemming: after being elevated, the product reaches the heart of the system: the Destemmer with Screen. We use a next-generation conical refiner with inner rubber paddles and grooved rubber-lined walls, with height-adjustable design ensuring maximum stem and pedicel removal while protecting fruit integrity. A screen at its base immediately separates the stems. At 2,000 kg/h, the line uses two conical destemmers in series with an intermediate aspirator between them for maximum efficacy.
  • Final cleaning and sizing: a third Vacuum Aspirator performs a final pass to ensure maximum product purity. Finally, the clean raisin is transported by an Elevator to the Sizing Screen, where it is classified by size into distinct commercial categories — delivering a uniform, high-value end product.

Construction and sanitary philosophy:

Frames and structures in SAE 1010 mild steel with anticorrosive primer and polyurethane enamel finish — proven ruggedness for the demanding destemming environment. Product-contact surfaces and critical zones (destemmers, screens) in stainless steel with sanitary polish. Modular plastic conveyors with paddles. Drives with oil-bath gearmotors and fully shielded three-phase motors. Frequency variators on aspirators to regulate suction by product.

Albion technology benefits:

  • Integral and automated process: consolidates decompacting, cleaning, destemming, and sizing in a single continuous-flow line, reducing handling and labor.
  • Superior destemming precision: the adjustable conical destemmer design ensures exceptional stem-removal performance, one of the greatest challenges in raisin processing.
  • Double destemmer in series at 2,000 kg/h: a unique market architecture combining industrial volume with premium destemming rate.
  • High industrial throughput: with a capacity of 1,800 to 1,900 kg/h, this line is designed to be the workhorse of any modern processing plant.
  • Albion experience and reliability: with years of experience building equipment for this sector, every line is built to last.
  • Pre-assembled and concatenated in our workshop before dispatch — the line arrives ready to install on-site.
  • 12-month warranty on mechanical parts of our manufacture.

The PUA 2000 D is the smart investment to mechanize your destemming process, guaranteeing consistent quality and a product ready to compete in the most demanding markets.
