Fresh retail potatoes — in bag, net, or tray — need to be clean of soil, brushed for uniform appearance, and size-classified. Our PC 4000 Line covers the entire process in a single continuous 4,000 kg/h pass — capacity designed for regional packers and mid-size cooperatives.
8 integrated machines, step by step:
- Receiving Hopper with Conveyor: accepts bulk product from truck or bins and doses the flow into the line.
- Elevator: transfers continuous flow up to the brusher inlet.
- Brusher: removes adhered soil and produces the uniform finish expected on shelf.
- Inspection Conveyor: operators discard green, split, or mechanically damaged potatoes before investing in sizing.
- Potato Sizer: splits the flow into 3 size grades + 1 reject fraction.
- Distribution Conveyor: routes each grade to its packing station.
- Conveyor with Bagging Hopper: accumulates product over the bag mouth for filling.
- Weigher: checks the final weight of every bag before closing.
Benefits:
- High capacity (4,000 kg/h): suitable for regional packers and cooperatives.
- Gentle brushing: adjustable-pressure brushes, compatible with sensitive varieties (Spunta, Kennebec, Innovator, and similar).
- From bin to weighed bag: the line closes the full circuit, with no packing stages contracted separately.
- Continuous flow and sanitary design: integrable with downstream packaging systems.
